Choose a version and a match route

Install the free base game through the official Steam download, or select Run game on the developer’s itch.io page. For a first session, local play keeps input setup in one place. Steam also lists single-player and online PvP; online lobbies and Remote Play Together are different routes.

Connect your controller before launching, or use the keyboard. Check the assigned movement, Attack, Special, Unique and Super actions in Settings before trying a fighter-specific move. The controls reference separates the two builds’ mappings.

What you are trying to do

The developer describes a game built around movement, hits that return the players to neutral, and building toward a decisive super. Neutral means neither fighter has a secured attack sequence: you are moving, threatening space and looking for an opening. It does not mean later fighters have no cancels or follow-ups.

Ordinary attacks, unique abilities and supers do different jobs. A hit can build the super resource; a fighter may also have ammo, EX charges or Size that follows its own rules. For example, Biden’s Blast Charge is separate from the meter needed to activate a super, and Taft has a Size resource.

Choose a fighter and an available super before the match. Most supers threaten a knockout, but transformation, health-setting and size-boost supers are important exceptions. Read super selection and exceptions before treating every full meter as the same outcome.

A useful first-match practice loop

  1. Walk, jump and change direction until you can approach and retreat without an accidental attack.
  2. Try Attack, then the same action with a direction. Watch which move actually comes out.
  3. Try Special and Unique separately. Note any charge, cooldown or resource change.
  4. Build enough super meter, create space, and try the selected super. Compare its effect with the fighter guide.

This is a practice sequence, not a tested optimal training routine. You have a working setup when each player controls the intended fighter and can trigger each assigned action. For the next session, open one fighter guide rather than learning every moveset at once.
