The released Abraham Lincoln moveset

Lincoln is the tall, hat-throwing roster fighter. Older August community text remains useful for move names and inputs, but the later developer rework changes the airborne-hat and Penny timing descriptions. The guide below applies that dated correction rather than combining both rules.

Charge, Log, Hat and Penny inputs

On a narrow screen, scroll sideways to see every column.

Move inputs and effects
ActionInputEffect / condition
Hat TossSpecial; hold to extend rangeDo not charge or release it from a jump after the August rework
Charge!Forward + SpecialRun forward; cancel into jump, Log, Emancipunch or opposite Charge
EmancipunchAttack during Charge!End the charge with a punch that destroys basic projectiles
Lincoln LogUp + SpecialUpward log attack; repeated airborne input can add height
Lucky Penny — homingUniqueAim at the opponent’s location when fired; teleport at its destination
Lucky Penny — aimedAny direction + UniqueChoose the coin direction; press Unique again to cancel the teleport

Inputs name actions, not physical keys. Forward is toward the opponent; “+” means a combined input. Translate the actions with your control bindings and move notation.

Penny can be used during other attacks and their recovery in the transcribed moveset. Its charge recharges automatically. The old 4.5-second value predates the shorter-cooldown rework and is not presented as the later build’s cooldown.

Monumental Occasion and a clear practice goal

Monumental Occasion turns Lincoln into a memorial that crushes an opponent beneath it. Learn where Penny will finish before combining a teleport approach with the super; an aimed coin and a homing coin follow different targeting rules.

A useful input check is to send an aimed Penny to a chosen direction and deliberately cancel one teleport with a second Unique press. This is a practice suggestion derived from the documented actions, not a guaranteed combo. Sources disagree about retained momentum during the memorial, so no precise momentum route is claimed here.

Do not import the old airborne-hat routine

The 27 August announcement specifically says the hat can no longer be charged or released from a jump, Penny flies faster on a drastically shorter cooldown, and movement speed increased slightly. Later new-super discussions do not establish every proposed super as selectable. See the dated update timeline before treating a preview as a release.
