Aiming, recoil and grounded follow-ups
On a narrow screen, scroll sideways to see every column.
| Action | Input | Effect / condition |
|---|---|---|
| Rifle Shot | Direction + Special; release to fire | Hold to aim in eight directions |
| Blunderbuss | Neutral Special | Slow projectile that stuns |
| Wooden Teeth | Down + Attack | Slow two-hit attack; Attack accesses its follow-ups |
| Shotgun | Direction + Unique | Fire and move opposite the shot; attack cancels can end recovery |
Inputs name actions, not physical keys. Forward is toward the opponent; “+” means a combined input. Translate the actions with your control bindings and move notation.
Using a directional Special chooses Rifle Shot; neutral Special is Blunderbuss. Keep that distinction when a projectile input seems to produce the wrong weapon. “Any direction” is an aiming instruction, not an additional button.

Shotgun ammo changed the old cooldown rule
The June rework replaces Shotgun’s cooldown with limited ammo refilled by landing hits. The community transcription says a hit gives two additional shells. Running out removes the same repeated recoil options, so track ammo before treating a multi-shotgun route as available.
The older guide also retains a 3.5-second cooldown line. It conflicts with the explicit later developer ammo rework and is not used here. The August patch adds a brief post-hit lockout for Rifle to reduce spam; it is a separate rule from Shotgun ammo.
Beam, bombardment and pressure
America Forever uses the eagle-and-beam attack. Revolutionary Rain adds bombardment, with follow-up barrages described as continuing until Washington is hit. They occupy different space and should not be treated as the same super merely because the activation action is shared.
Wooden Teeth has documented Attack follow-ups, and Shotgun can cancel into attacks. Those are supported action relationships. They are not evidence that every projectile-to-shotgun sequence is inescapable or that a named “combo” works on every fighter. Use the notation reference to separate pressure, follow-ups and a verified true combo.
