JFK is a movement-and-grab fighter
JFK is the roster identity for John F. Kennedy in the Steam game. His sparse documented moveset makes movement and super placement central to learning him. This is the released JFK, not an independently confirmed “Sinister JFK” fighter or a full additional moveset.
Airdash, wavedash and Team Attack
On a narrow screen, scroll sideways to see every column.
| Action | Input | Effect / condition |
|---|---|---|
| Airdash | Any direction + Unique | Change direction through the air; angle into the floor to wavedash |
| Team Attack | Super | A grab-based knockout; the airdash can cancel into it |
Inputs name actions, not physical keys. Forward is toward the opponent; “+” means a combined input. Translate the actions with your control bindings and move notation.
Practise the directional dash first, then the cancel into the selected super. A wavedash is the grounded sliding result of the downward dash, not a separate keyboard key. Closing distance does not by itself prove the grab will connect.
Account for the opponent’s starting charge
The opposing fighter begins with half of their super charge according to the community transcription. That is an automatic starting effect, separate from pressing Unique or Super. It means an opponent can be closer to their own super at round start; it is not an invulnerability bonus for JFK.
The passive reference separates this effect from Obama’s Living Legend animation text. Do not use the animation label to explain JFK’s meter effect.
